Craig Van Eaton Before creating CyberSpeed, Van Eaton cut his teeth in the trenches of motorsports. Van Eaton's involvement began as at the age of ten racing go-karts. After graduating from LSU, Van Eaton realized that his life's purpose revolved around racing. Initially fueled with the desire to once again race, Craig soon realized the hard reality that racing required cash. Intent on chasing his dreams, Van Eaton promptly joined Skip Barber Racing as a mechanic to gain experience as a mechanic and to receive discounts on racing. While success on the track with Skip Barber ultimately led Van Eaton to run his own Ford Spec-Racer in SCCA, the majority of Craig's efforts were spent working on a variety of racecars for some of the sport's best teams. Over an eight-year period, Van Eaton wrenched on a wide range of racers, ranging from a 12 Hours of Sebring winning Champion Porsche 911 GTS-1 with MCR to Stan Wattle's IRL racecar. While working at the track, Van Eaton quickly saw a niche market open with the rapid evolution of the Internet. Seeing the medium as a potential gold-mine, Van Eaton used his established relationships with sportscar teams and drivers to launch CyberSpeed, one of the first motorsports-focused Internet development companies in 1997. Focused on customer service and keeping at an even pace with the Internet's rapid development, Van Eaton has built CyberSpeed into the next Millennium through expansion into the marketing, public relations and event management realms, thus creating a cutting-edge motorsports development company. Craig enjoys sailing his catamaran whenever possible. He began sailing sunfish at the age of eight and has recently started endurance point-to-point catamaran racing. Craig's passion for sailing led him to create an endurance catamaran racing series in 2004. More information can be found on the series website at www.SailSeries.com. Van Eaton lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife Keri and their two children Sarah and Adam. Contact: craig@cyberspeed.cc
Kristian Jacobi In early 2000, Kris Jacobi officially became a partner in CyberSpeed, instantly increasing capabilities of the company. Having worked with Van Eaton for the previously two years to help get the fledgling company off the ground, the full-time addition of Jacobi marked CyberSpeed’s rapid growth. Focused on web site development, Jacobi heads up CyberSpeed’s web design projects, and is well versed in HTML, Java Script, Flash, ASP, and many other web design/development techniques. In addition, Jacobi has been instrumental in the development of several important Internet projects, including the creation of the CyberSpeed Mall, CyberSpeed interactive e-commerce platform, and an innovative online telemetry system. Creating a system cabable of handling the development and maintenance activities for nearly 60 web sites isn't easy; to handle the load Jacobi deployed a state-of-the-art interoffice and extranet infrastructure. Prior to partnering with Van Eaton, Jacobi worked with Quinn Communication, a pioneer in the electronic commerce industry.
